Digital Transformation Lead
Are you a world-class project leader within the digital- or technology division at a leading consulting company looking for a chance to lead the digital transformation journey of a global company from within? Hydroscand Group, an international family-owned business that provides solutions and services for hoses, fittings, and related products through a customer-driven and decentralized organization, is looking for a Digital Transformation Lead to join our team in Sköndal, Stockholm metropolitan area.
As a member of our Business Development team you will be part of a newly formed business unit, tasked to help the organization deliver on its aggressive growth objectives, with strong backing by the CEO. In the position as Digital Transformation Lead, you will lead the group's ambitious digitalization journey. Your main responsibility will be leading and coordinating our internal resources in projects, as we future fit our system architecture to our business needs, and presenting the work to group management. Your role will be highly project based, and you will both work cross-functionally, with people from across our organization, and also work closely leading some of your team members in the business development function.
What we offer
As Digital Transformation Lead you will lead the goals definition and implementation of our company's ambitious digital transformation agenda, encompassing a complete review of our system architecture, to support our strategic priorities for growth; strengthening and expanding our service offering, improving our omni-channel experience and introducing new tools that strengthen our current business activities. This means you will lead cross-functional teams for projects covering some of our group's most important business development activities, reporting to group management from day one.
You will be part of the wider Business Development function, lead by experienced leaders with extensive background from the world's leading management consulting firms (e.g. McKinsey, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group), giving you the opportunity to continue developing your project management and business development skills beyond digital transformation from the very best.
This role sets you up to continue developing your project leadership skills within the digital realm, and lets you continue your steep-learning curve, by expanding your business development toolkit to new areas of expertise and preparing you for future general management leadership roles.
To be successful in this role, we believe you possess the following qualities:
- Strong business acumen and strategic mind, demonstrated by an ability to translate current and future business activities into application requirements (functional, system architecture compatibility,…) for software under evaluation, and to assess various software based on defined requirements
- Previous project leader experience in digital transformation projects (e.g. delivery lead in ERP implementations, team lead in evaluation of new software for various business activities or BI application design and implementation), ideally as a project leader at well-known digital consulting companies (e.g. Accenture, Deloitte, McKinsey Digital, BCG X, HiQ, CGI, Capgemini, Netlight...)
- Excellent management skills, demonstrated by an ability to lead teams with individuals from multiple different professional backgrounds (e.g. IT, operations, sales,…) and successfully identify and implement new applications that strengthen
- Excellent communicative skills, demonstrated by an ability to effectively prepare and present results, communicate recommendations and drive decision making in an executive stakeholder environment
- Good understanding of the industrial B2B software ecosystem (e.g. have vendor knowledge of the main ERP-, field service-, WMS-, asset management-, S&OP-, PIM- providers), and evaluation tools and frameworks (e.g. using G2, Capterra, Gartner)
- A university degree in a relevant field (or alternatively, you are soon to graduate) from university with a relevant degree, such as Systems architecture, Computer science or other engineering degrees
Your work:
- Detail our business activities to identify needs for new software, digital tools and applications, or other digital infrastructure that supports our current and future business activities
- Evaluate software or other digital tools against defined business requirements and produce recommendations for what software to implement and how.
- Communicate your findings to key stakeholders and build momentum in the organization around your proposed solution
- Lead teams of cross-functional staff to implement your chosen software, digital tools or other applications, in close collaboration with our IT and business development functions, as well as our business units
- Maintain and develop our BI platform (Power BI) and its infrastructure, and coordinate knowledge sharing activities throughout the group
